Happy New Year and All Blessings for 2011!
You've likely heard others say that time seems to be speeding up, and you've probably agreed. Ian Xel Lundgold, researcher and creator of the Conversion Codex for the Mayan calendar states that it isn't time that is speeding up, it's creation that's speeding up. More is possible, more is happening in less time. He explains that there are nine levels of consciousness or stages of evolution depicted by the Mayan calendar. The first stage spans 16.4 billion years and each succeeding stage accomplishes the same amount of change in a shorter time - 20 times shorter. Each stage continues on as we enter a new stage of evolution. We have been in the present stage, the Galactic Consciousness Cycle of "ethics overcoming power" since January 5, 1999. On February 10, 2011 we will enter the last stage of the Mayan calendar called the Universal stage of "conscious co-creation," and Lundgold reports that this cycle is only 260 days long. Each of the nine steps on the Mayan pyramid represents a cycle of consciousness or stage of evolution.

Numerologically speaking, we are leaving a number "3" year and entering a number "4" year. The ancient philosopher, Pythagoras, of the 5th century B.C. assigned energies and power to numbers and letters of the alphabet giving each a vibratory frequency. Numerology is a science of vibration and is one that if used correctly can offer guidance in decisions we must make on a daily basis.
So, we're leaving a universal number "3" year (affecting everyone), derived from adding 2+0+1+0, the number expressing amusement, creativity and new ideas, development of talents, the spending of money, restlessness, a tendency toward scattering of forces, and a demand for pleasure and luxury. We are now entering a universal "4" year (2+0+1+1). The key word for number "4" is "work." It is a year of building after a general shaking-up, making practical our creative ideas. Affairs must assume their level again - slowly but surely - rebuilding a secure foundation which is vital to lasting success. Barbara Hand Clow informs us that "the New Year is not January 1st! The new year - the Spring Equinox - occurs around March 21st when the Sun enters 0 degrees Aries by geocentric astrology."
"The time to make plans for each year is during the Spring Equinox, not during the so-called New Year. The Spring Equinox is the time to identify the intentions we wish to fulfill during the four seasons. Ideas correctly seeded at the Spring Equinox manifest for a year. During the Summer Solstice, the time has arrived to birth these ideas into recognizable form, like a forming fetus. The Fall Equinox is the time to flesh out, balance, and assess these creations and to weed things out that just are not working. So if we make our New Year's resolutions on January 1st, perhaps we can renew them at the Spring Equinox.
