Star in the East

Star in the East

Star in the East

The coming birth of Jesus was said to be known by the Wise Men previous to his birth in Bethlehem.  Christ's mission was linked to these avatars, and a sign was given to them to announce the birth of 'Christ' Jesus.  Signs were read by the spiritual insights of these men of God, signs "not even remotely approachable by the elaborate charts attempted by modern casters of horoscopes."  Whatever the celestial signs of that time in history, "it was the 'star in the east' of greater power by which they knew of the coming on earth of 'Christ' Jesus:  the all-revealing light of the spiritual eye of the soul's intuitive divine perception located in the "east" of the body - in a subtle spiritual center of Christ Consciousness in the forehead between the two physical eyes."  So, the star seen with the spiritual eye is the true "star in the east." *

Dreaming

Do you dream?  We all dream, and we recall our dreams to varying extents.  At times we have dreams that are remembered in great detail, and at other times we don't seem to be able to recall them at all.  In some cultures, dream-sharing is an important part of family life - of community life.  When we dream we enter other dimensions of reality - dimensions beyond time and space.  We can move among those who live in the spiritual realms and have meaningful communication with the spirit beings who reside in those realms - many of them family and friends who have crossed over from the Earth dimension; also Spiritual Teachers and Angelic Beings who protect and guide us.

"The Plains Indians say the path of the soul after death is the same as the path of the soul in dreams.  Dreaming and dreamwork are central to developing an art of dying that works for us today."  (Robert Moss).

In his book Dreaming True Moss gives us seven levels of dreaming:

     Level 1:  Dream Recycling
     Level 2:  Dream Moviemaking
Level 3:  Dreaming with the Body
     Level 4:  Psychic Dreaming
     Level 5:  Transpersonal Dreaming
     Level 6:  Sacred Dreaming
     Level 7:  Dreambringing

Because dreams use images and symbols to transmit their messages to our conscious minds, our dreams don't always make a lot of sense to us at first.  We must work with the symbolism and apply it in some way to our waking lives.  One way to work with dreams is through journaling and creating a glossary of symbols that is meaningful in our own interpretation of them.

The mind is vast and infinite in its access to information in many dimensions.  But when a dream experience is brought back to our waking consciousness it is filtered through our finite physical brain, making it difficult to decipher the message until we've studied its symbolism and become familiar with its language and its connections to our lives in this Earth consciousness.  Our dreams are full of guidance for us now and in our future, if we'll only pay attention and work with them.

Where do your dreams take you?

Health and Healing

The subject of healing is as old as history itself and has forever been a subject of investigation and experiment.  Knowledge of the right use of healing practice and forces is in its infancy in our age.  It is at least possible to now better comprehend the laws of magnetic healing and discover causes of diseases which originate in the three inner bodies: the etheric body, the astral body, and the mental body.

Only today is humanity at the point in the evolution of its consciousness where it can begin to realize the power of the subjective, the inner worlds.  A key seems to be an open mind, a readiness to accept new theories and hypotheses, and to be willing to let go of the old and dearly held truths.  "All initiates of the Ageless Wisdom are necessarily healers, though all may not heal the physical body.  The reason for this is that all souls that have achieved any measure of true liberation are transmitters of spiritual energy.  This automatically affects some aspect of the mechanism (or different aspects of the instrument - body or form nature) which is used by the souls they contact."

"All disease is the result of inhibited soul life, and that is true of all forms in all kingdoms.  The art of the healer consists in releasing the soul so that its life can flow through the aggregate of organisms which constitute any particular form."
From Esoteric Healing by Alice A. Bailey

Resurrection

In his Lectures on Ancient Philosophy, Manly P. Hall states, "The consciousness of man is said to exist in three general states: in an unawakened state, an awakening state, and an awakened state.  Those whose souls are wholly immersed in the illusion of form are declared to be asleep.  Those to whom beauty means nothing, in whom there is no desire to better an imperfect state, who live to gratify the appetites of the flesh, are the sleeping ones."  After a time these sleeping souls drift back again from the invisible worlds where they go to sleep after death and again continue to take on bodies until finally the Divinity within is aroused and animated to cast off their "robes of lethargy."

The second group -- the awakening souls are those in whom realization, while not perfected, has become an element in the cultural life.  Divine potentialities must be liberated from the winding-sheet of matter.  Such a soul is consecrated to the attainment of wisdom.  All change is regarded as fresh opportunity, and with faith in ultimate perfection the seeker eagerly pursues the quest of Self.

The third group - the awakened souls -- are those who have cast off the graveclothes of limitation and made their escape from generation, exchanging the alternation of mortal life for the continued awareness of the inner existence.  They are masters not only of the so-called terrestrial state, but having liberated their souls from the idea of generation they ascend to that truly incorporeal world where the soul is united with the true substances of its own being.
Manly P. Hall in Lectures on Ancient Philosophy

In the story of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection, the death and the burial are figurative, allegorical.  They do not refer to the death of the physical body, but to a personal sense of self-separateness.  The old consciousness is outgrown.  As far as earthly life and human limitations are concerned, the aspirant can also say those final words of the Christ upon the cross:  "It is finished" (John 19:30) and "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit" (Luke 23:46).

Resurrection is the keynote of nature; death is not.  Death is only the ante-chamber of resurrection.  Resurrection is the clue to the world of meaning, and is the fundamental theme of all the world religions - past, present, and the future.  Resurrection of the spirit in the human, in all forms, in all kingdoms, is the objective of the entire evolutionary process, and this involves liberation from materialism and selfishness.

The fact of the resurrection will be demonstrated during the next few centuries, and the Living Christ will walk among men and lead them onward towards the Mount of Ascension.

Christ has never left us for a distant heaven of nebulous outlines, but is ever within our reach.  His working disciples, the Masters of the Wisdom and the Lords of Compassion are with us, here and now.  They proclaim that we are not alone, but that the Forces of Light and of Enlightenment are constantly working; that the strength and the wisdom of Those who know are being mobilized to aid mankind, and that nothing can now arrest or prevent the contact between that intelligent aspiring center, called humanity, and the inner spiritual group, the Hierarchy.

These perfected men, therefore, exist.  They are more than men because the divine spirit in them registers all stages of consciousness and awareness -- subhuman, human, and superhuman.  This inclusive development enables them to work with men, to contact humanity at need, and to know how to lead us forward to the phases of resurrection.
Alice A. Bailey in The Externalisation of the Hierarchy

Christ was resurrected not only on Easter morn; at-one with the Infinite Christ Consciousness he reanimates himself in the dawn of each soul's awakening.  Our souls die every day, whenever we are buried in the tomb of ignorance; we resurrect ourselves again in Cosmic Wisdom.

Banish the death consciousness perceived during the sleep of delusion, and resurrect your soul in the ever-reigning Light of Immortality.  Let this be your Easter awakening.

May you thus be able to lift the soul beyond the conscious and sleep states and expand it into God in the superconscious sphere.

Behold thine immortal Self resurrected with Christ in the illuminating Light of Christ Consciousness, present in every soul, every flower, every atom.

What Is Love?

Love

Try to understand what love is on a deeper level
than you now comprehend it.
Actually, the office of love is not exchange -
It is giving.
All creatures of all kingdoms express love,
not the barter and trade love of human beings,
which is a cultivated attribute most of the time.
A diamond loves when it gives out its beautiful
sparkle for all to see.
That is its mission.
A bird loves when it pours out its song for all to hear,
or none to hear, expecting nothing in return.
But people, for the most part, must be
trained to give, to love, to ask for nothing
in return, and yet this is a spiritual
function of all people.
So you love.  Give your love.
Give it whenever you find a need in some
other person for that expression of love.
Then, expect and ask for nothing in return.
What is yours will come to you freely, and
without asking because it is already yours.
What is not yours, you do not want,
for you can never possess it.
Let your love go free.  Release it.

. . .  Ann C. Manser

What is love?  Love is a principle, and if placed on a continuum and represented by color, it might be deep red on one end and a rich but delicate rose color on the other.  Perhaps it becomes love only on the higher vibration as it progresses toward rose, which is a Universal, unconditional love.  For me, the Universal Love takes it far above the personality level and connects one with the divinity in all others - a place where one loves everyone else soul-to-soul, so to speak.  On the lower end of the continuum might be the possessive "attachment" or passionate infatuation which has not really become love, sometimes wanting only physical expression.

As the love principle progresses higher on the continuum, it begins to open up a vertical communication with one's own Higher Self, and with the kingdom of souls and angels, and with the "God Principle."  The vibratory frequency has been created by us for higher electromagnetic activity on spiritual levels and allows us to receive Divine Love and to express our Love for Divinity.  On the lower levels, one usually requires some response to an expression of love.  This can cause much conflict between personalities.  Farther up the continuum, love is expressed without requiring a response.  One expresses love because he/she is "becoming" love and it is a natural expression.

As human beings evolve, we become more balanced in our own masculine-feminine principles and come together on a much higher frequency - with the union having more purpose.  We do not necessarily need another person to fill out our imbalances, but come together to share and learn more consciously and to be with each other in a much higher and unconditional loving expression.  We learn to transcend the personality needs and to be truly supportive of another's spiritual journey.

"Love is the most powerful force in the universe.
With love comes unity, meaning,
integration, synergy and wholeness.
And yet, this powerful force is so delicate,
so gentle, so easily marred by more self-centered needs,
that we are afraid to experience it.
This is not an easy world to live in,
but love teaches us how vital and meaningful it can be."

With special love and blessings to my mother, Kathryn, on this day,
the eighth anniversary of her transition to another dimension.
I love you, Mother . . .

"I think of you often -
very often
and I bless you whenever
I see beautiful beings
or noble things,
because you are both
beautiful and noble."

Happy New Year 2011!

Happy New Year and All Blessings for 2011!

You've likely heard others say that time seems to be speeding up, and you've  probably agreed.  Ian Xel Lundgold, researcher and creator of the Conversion Codex for the Mayan calendar states that it isn't time that is speeding up, it's creation that's speeding up.  More is possible, more is happening in less time.  He explains that there are nine levels of consciousness or stages of evolution depicted by the Mayan calendar. The first stage spans 16.4 billion years and each succeeding stage accomplishes the same amount of change in a shorter time - 20 times shorter.  Each stage continues on as we enter a new stage of evolution.  We have been in the present stage, the Galactic Consciousness Cycle of "ethics overcoming power" since January 5, 1999.  On February 10, 2011 we will enter the last stage of the Mayan calendar called the Universal stage of "conscious co-creation," and Lundgold reports that this cycle is only 260 days long. Each of the nine steps on the Mayan pyramid represents a cycle of consciousness or stage of evolution.

"Transmutation is the process wherein an integral system changes structure and behavior so fundamentally that it reveals different aspects of nature.  Transmutation has two prerequisite phases:  transition and transformation.

Humanity is currently moving into the transformational stage.  Purposeful action is taken to form and apply alliances and models that demonstrate elevated amplitudes of consciousness and a new organization of values."  ~ Letter to Earth by Elia Wise

Numerologically speaking, we are leaving a number "3" year and entering a number "4" year.  The ancient philosopher, Pythagoras, of the 5th century B.C. assigned energies and power to numbers and letters of the alphabet giving each a vibratory frequency.  Numerology is a science of vibration and is one that if used correctly can offer guidance in decisions we must make on a daily basis.

So, we're leaving a universal number "3" year (affecting everyone), derived from adding 2+0+1+0, the number expressing amusement, creativity and new ideas, development of talents,  the spending of money, restlessness, a tendency toward scattering of forces, and a demand for pleasure and luxury.  We are now entering a universal "4" year (2+0+1+1).  The key word for number "4" is "work." It is a year of building after a general shaking-up, making practical our creative ideas.  Affairs must assume their level again - slowly but surely - rebuilding a secure foundation which is vital to lasting success.  So the year ahead is not just one of hope, but of getting down to brass tacks and walking the talk. ~ from Your Days are Numbered by Florence Campbell and Numerology for the New Age by Lynne Buess.

Barbara Hand Clow informs us that "the New Year is not January 1st!  The new year - the Spring Equinox - occurs around March 21st when the Sun enters 0 degrees Aries by geocentric astrology."

"The time to make plans for each year is during the Spring Equinox, not during the so-called New Year.  The Spring Equinox is the time to identify the intentions we wish to fulfill during the four seasons.  Ideas correctly seeded at the Spring Equinox manifest for a year.  During the Summer Solstice, the time has arrived to birth these ideas into recognizable form, like a forming fetus.  The Fall Equinox is the time to flesh out, balance, and assess these creations and to weed things out that just are not working.  Then the Winter Solstice is the time to enter into deep contemplation to imagine how our personal creations assist others and the planet."  Barbara Hand Clow

So if we make our New Year's resolutions on January 1st, perhaps we can renew them at the Spring Equinox.
